Having a love for all things tech is a given when living in the Rocket City. Like many others in the Huntsville area, growing up in the shadow of rocket ships on the interstate inspired me to really embrace my inner nerd. As I got older my love for science and technology became a deeper more seasoned passion. I first attended UAH, where I met my awesome wife, and began pursuing a degree in Computer Science. I have continued my studies over the course of the last decade, taking breaks when life became too hectic, but I will graduate May 2015 with my degree in computer science.
After that I plan to continue my studies and pursue my Masters, though my exact focus is still up in the air. While pursuing my degree, I have worked full time in the Information Technology field. I can definitely say I have preferred specialties, but I haven’t really encountered anything in IT I don’t care for. I’m sure my wife could sit down and tell you stories of epic ranting though.
My wife and I are mega nerds. We enjoy all forms of nerdisms from Dr. Who to table top games and beyond. Essentially if you can geek out over something, we’ve probably already cycled through that particular obsession. Outside of my wife and hobbies, I really just try and take it easy. Like “The Dude” , all I need is a drink, a rug and a bowling alley… Eh, I can do without the bowling alley. I’m told I bowl like I hate life and it’s safer. Some have said it makes a certain harsh voiced nocturnal super hero seem as harmless as a unicorn running in a meadow of faeries and pixie dust…
