Network Preventative Maintenance

Running like a well-oiled machine takes a lot of work.  At DNS we provide network preventative maintenance so the burdens of keeping your computers and servers running smooth are off your shoulders.  As a small business owner, one of the first things I learned was that wearing too many hats is a dangerous thing. When I first started my business I was just like any other small business owner.   I did the technical work, answered the phones, kept up with book keeping and anything else that needed done.  At some point I ran out of places to put all the hats I was wearing and soon realized that the things I was good at got less and less of my attention.  Allowing us to do your network maintenance will give you the freedom to do what your good at and empower you to spend more time with your clients to build a more personal relationship.

…buying a server is like raising a child. Once you have one you will realize it whines and cries and eventually you have to change its diapers and show it some attention.
A lot of people think that buying a server is like buying a TV. You buy it and stick it in a corner and it does its thing. Really buying a server is like raising a child. Once you have one you will realize it whines and cries and eventually you have to change its diapers and show it some attention.  If you just stick it the corner and never pay it any attention then you will eventually raise a juvenile delinquent!  With the right love and attention, your server will grow with your business and be crucial part of your daily work flow and you will wonder how you ever worked without it.

Most business owners don’t have the time or expertise to maintain their servers and computers.  More often than not, it’s the small things that go wrong that cause the biggest problems.  Attention to little details like the amount of disk space you have left and at what rate you’re using it.  Or why does the raid controller say failed redundancy?  Does having 500 entries in the event log of EVENT ID 55 NTFS corruption a bad thing?  Or wow our backup has been running with errors for about a week.   A lot of these type errors can be caught early and prevent bigger problems before they happen.

Let us know how we can help you retire a few of those hats you’re wearing!
